Our client a Large Packaging company are recruiting a Payroll & HR Administrator on a 12-month fixed contract.

The ideal candidate will need to have a strong administrative background with previous payroll experience and a basic HRMC regulation understanding.

The Payroll & HR Administrator is responsible for supporting the Payroll Team Lead, based in the HR service centre, in the successful delivery of the UK and Ireland payroll to circa 300

Responsibilities and accountabilities

·  Payroll administration:

·  Car fines and penalties: work with the Accounts Assistant and Financial Accountant to analyse invoices, communicate with employees and the leasing company as well as produce input data for payroll to salary deductions

·  Maintain the Payroll Control Sheet, capturing all employee events with payroll impact, so precise and up-to-date data is available to the Payroll Team Lead at all times

·  Receive and support distribution of hardcopies of monthly pay slips, P45, P11D and P60 forms,

·  HMRC: receive and pass correspondence to relevant persons in a timely manner, support the Payroll Team Lead with HMRC audits

·  HR administration

·  Time and attendance: support maintenance of absence records, produce reports, file doctor's notes

·  HR admin relating to starters ("right to work in UK" documents), leavers and transferees (global mobility): collect and file documents

·  Company car scheme: support FREM co-ordinator in relation to new starters, re-allocations and collections; collect driving licences, business insurance certificates and keep additional driver files up-to-date, support winter tyre process

·  Purchase Order creation and invoice management

·  Support local administration tasks (maintain personnel folders [electric and hard-copy], create reports, issuing of payments)

·  Provide data and admin support for local benefits:

·  Occupational Health (BUPA) for starters and management referrals

·  Employee Assistance Programme

·  Permanent Health Insurance

·  Flexible benefits (PerkBox, cycle scheme, holiday trading)

·  Assist with employee inductions

·  Other ad hoc tasks and projects as appropriate

·  Admin support to the Corporate OHS Director

·  Book travel, using Concur, as requested by the Corporate OHS Director

·  Collate and submit the Corporate OHS Director's expense reports in Concur

·  Raise and manage purchase orders for OHS purchases

·  Act as diary delegate and book meetings as requested by the Corporate OHS Director

·  Support for global OHS business partner SCO (not travel or expenses)

Professiona l requirements:

·  Essential:

·  strong administration experience

·  advanced Excel and all-round strong MS Office skills

·  experience in using SAP or other integrated systems

·  excellent written and spoken English

·  experience in working with third-party payroll vendors

·  basic knowledge of HMRC regulations (e.g. PAYE, NI, tax documentation, benefits in kind, etc.)

·  some experience in administering company benefits

·  basic understanding of audit and data privacy requirements

·  Desirable:

·  Experience in working in an international and/or matrix organised environment

·  Experience in working with shared service centres
