Position: Fostering Recruitment Officer

Location: Surrey

Duration: 3 Months +

We're currently looking for a Recruitment Officer to provide significant support to Qualified Social Worker staff in the Fostering Care Recruitment Team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

·  Assist with answering a dedicated telephone line for initial enquiries from prospective foster carers and maintain records relating to enquiries and initial visits.

·  Undertake initial visits and participate within the assessment process of prospective new carers.

·  Assist with delivering and making appropriate arrangements for training programmes and aid with general communication,

·  Administer and coordinate referrals to the team for access to group work provision.

Person Specifications:

·  Strong awareness of the roles and responsibilities of practitioners working in a childcare environment.

·  significant knowledge and experience of working directly with children and families.

·  Strong IT skills, including use of databases, email, Word and Excel.
