Adecco is currently recruiting for a Facilities Worker for one of our top clients based in Liverpool, the role is permanent and full time with an immediate start if successful. You must have a valid UK driving licenece as part of the role is driving.

You will be responsible for the delivery of Estate and Facilities Management functions, working across buildings ensuring service standards, key performance indicators and the highest level of customer care are delivered at all times.

Duties:

The post holder will:-

Provide a routine janitorial service to classrooms, toilets, circulation and social spaces, entrance areas and external spaces in accordance with service standards and key performance indicators.

Undertake regular monitoring of internal communal areas, ensuring areas are well maintained, presentable and free from litter and debris. To pick up any litter and debris, resolve spillages and undertake any additional or emergency cleaning required.

Undertake deep cleaning as instructed by the Team Leader.

Undertake planned window cleaning to ground floor windows, entrance and reception areas and internal windows.

Provide a routine service to WC areas; replenishing consumable items, wiping wash hand basins and fittings, check and wipe WC's, collecting and removing all litter and placing into waste bins.

Provide routine removal of domestic waste and dry mix recycling, cardboard from internal & external environments and waste bins. Depositing waste in the prescribed waste compactors or Eurocarts for collection.

Maintain external waste compounds, ensuring they are secure, presentable, waste is deposited into the correct waste streams and they are not overflowing with waste.

Undertake routine inspections of the grounds (external spaces) cleaning accumulated waste, leaves, litter, removing sharps and notifying the Maintenance and Projects teams of issues relating to refurbishment and maintenance works.

Deliver scheduled work from the Helpdesk, in accordance with service standards and key performance indicators.

Set up room furniture and equipment for teaching, conferences, dinners and other events.

Reset teaching room furniture before the start of the teaching day in accordance with agreed layouts.

Process the movement of incoming and outgoing mail, packages, printing and student coursework within and between buildings, the central post room, and the Royal Mail and couriers.

Operation of postal franking machines.

Use of dedicated courier software for the despatch and collection of items relating to University business.

Use of dedicated Delivery of PoD software and hardware to ensure the effective online tracking of items.

Handling, delivering and collecting of important, valuable and sensitive items in accordance with University procedures, including examination papers, examination scripts and student coursework.

Move general items within rooms, buildings and between buildings as required. Being part of a team that undertakes larger building or departmental decant moves as required.

Undertake security patrols in accordance with the patrolling schedule. Reporting any concerns to the Security Team.

Undertake ad hoc, routine and planned vehicle deliveries/driving duties around the Estate.

Reporting of defects, hazards and other Health and Safety issues to the Helpdesk, making safe when instructed by the Facilities Team Leader; ensuring timely repairs can be undertaken and that issues are resolved.

Dispose of furniture, fixtures and fittings, waste electrical and electronic items, PC's and other items as directed.

Provide general assistance to contractors when undertaking scheduled maintenance and refurbishment works as instructed by the Team Leader.

Ensure buildings are ready for the start of the teaching/working day and are closed down in accordance with Out of Hours procedures.

Provide assistance in covering reception as required.

Demonstrate the highest standards of customer care in all aspects of the role to all students, staff and visitors.

Carry out any other duties commensurate with the seniority of this post as requested by the Team Leader.

Work alongside Estate and Facilities Management team members engaging with all teams in order to maximise efficient outputs.
