I am currently recruiting exclusively for our client based in Medway who is looking for an engineering assistant. This role is no ordinary role but is one for potential any level of person who has a good understanding of engineering. This industry can be taught but also may be more of a role to wind down the rest of your career.

So what are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is good with their hands, has a good eye for detail and able to put together an array of different components or who has the attention and want to learn. Someone who is a problem solver with good listening skills as the detail you will be given by clients is key.

How do the responsibilities of this role look?

. Goods in and goods out.

. assembling components for customers based on their requirements and testing.

. managing calls coming in and advising clients where necessary

. stores and stock control

. General administration duties.

Working environment?

You will have your own work space in order to keep in line with Covid-19 restrictions and you will be working with a team of around 6-8 people in total daily. You will be working beside the Production Manager who will take you under his wing and teach you the ways of the business.

The idea of someone coming into the business at this time is to eventually be the managers of the business going forward. This opportunity is a chance for you to engage, learn and adapt your knowledge to take on key roles for the business moving forward, of course however this will not happen over night.

This role is a Monday to Friday role with office based hours, shorter working hours on a Friday finishing by 2pm latest.
