JOB TITLE: Data Migration Developer
LOCATION: East Sussex
PAY RATE: £400 per day Umbrella
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 6 weeks minimum
IR35 STATUS: Inside

This role is for a fixed term to work alongside a Lead Data Migration Developer on a major IT project for Children Services ISEND Department.

You will need skills in the following areas:
- SQL Server
- C# skills/knowledge
- T-SQL
- Programmatic extraction of documents from various sources (e.g. SharePoint, file system)
- Web Framework - ASP.net NVC
- Professional software development role
- Experience in Data Migration

ROLE PURPOSE:

·  To undertake applications development, support and package implementation projects related to ICT systems.

·  Provide analysis and documentation of business and ICT requirements and design or evaluate suitable solutions.

·  Produce accurate project definitions and plans, including cost, time and resource estimates, to monitor project progress, and to produce regular status reports for the customer or project manager as appropriate.

·  Carry out systems analysis and design, data design, coding and documentation of systems as required.

·  To develop appropriate test plans and test data for systems, rectify any faults found and to ensure that the outcomes are appropriately documented.

·  Act as prime point of escalation for colleagues resolving complex ICT incidents, problems and service delivery issues in an appropriate and timely manner to meet service demands.

·  To create and maintain effective customer relations, demonstrating an understanding of the issues relating to the customer's service delivery needs and ensuring that the objectives of any work match the authority's strategic needs.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

·  IT Service Management best practice qualification or able to demonstrate an appreciation of IT Service Management best practice

·  Experience of development and maintenance of applications through the full product lifecycle in a complex organisation.

·  Experience of development platforms and frameworks and the ability to rapidly assimilate new skills.

·  Experience of development best practice including documentation, analysis, design, testing methods and source control

·  Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

·  Team worker, committed to working collaboratively and acting in partnership

·  Commitment to continuous development and the provision of high quality professional standards and services

·  Commitment to maintaining expert level awareness of current and emerging technologies and best practice within domain of expertise
