Job Description

Adecco UK are currently seeking committed and Safety conscious staff to work as Gate line Assistants in Newbury station!

Pay rate: £10.00 per hour

Shifts are days on/off between the earliest times of 6am to latest times of 8pm (mon - sat / reduced hours on Sunday)

**Start date of the 19 th July, training sessions will commence 13 th /14 th & 15 th /16 th July**

Our Gate line Assistants, will provide a First-class service to our customers whilst ensuring their safety at all times.

They will Pro-actively seek to help customers through clear communication to pass through the station whilst effectively managing the Automatic Gates.

You will often be the first person and the last person our customers meet on their journey, therefore your role as gate line assistant is vital in upholding the safety and service to all customers.

You may be required at times to undertake roles such as bus replacement, crown control and ticket checking. You will be at your nearest station however there will be times you will be required to travel at other stations, a duty pass will be provided to you to enable free travel whilst on duty.

Responsibilities:

. Effectively operate the gates ensuring the safety of all who pass through them.

. Delivering excellent customer service by responding to customer enquiries as quickly and efficiently as possible.

. Report any incidents and undertake measures to ensure the safety of the station.

. Undertake ticket checks and pass any irregularities to Revenue Protection.

. Wear uniform and I.D badge when working on shift and travelling to and from that shift

After successful interview stage training will be for 2 days, which you will be paid for after you have worked your first 5 shifts.

Training will be given in all aspects of the role.
