Room Attendant (Full Time, Permanent)

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisors, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

· 
Ensure the cleanliness of guest rooms, colleague service areas & corridors while adhering to Hotel standards outlined in training

· 
Making beds, changing sheets and towels

· 
Cleaning washroom facilities including toilets, bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, floors, bathroom fixtures and others as assigned

· 
Vacuuming floors, draperies and upholstered furniture

· 
Dusting of furniture and fixtures

· 
Stocking of guest room amenities

· 
Removal and sorting of linen, garbage and recycling

· 
Proper use and storage of chemicals and safety materials

· 
Assist guests with concerns and requests in a timely manner

· 
Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the hotel health and safety program

· 
Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required

· 
Other reasonable duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· 
Physically fit and able to work well under pressure

· 
Able to work well independently with little Supervision

· 
Must be a team player and demonstrate organizational skills

· 
To work laterally with departments to convey concerns and come to solutions

· 
Proficient in English, verbal and written required

· 
Must be able to make decisions individually and show problem solving ability

· 
Excellent interpersonal skills

Physical Aspects of Position:  
Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:

· 
Constant walking throughout shift

· 
Housekeeping is a very physically demanding position. Duties include repetitive bending, pulling, carrying, high lifting and heavy pushing (up to 100lbs.).

You may be required to work on holidays, weekends, overnights and other non-day shifts. Submission of your application to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise indicates that you are able to meet these requirements as needed.
