This position is temporary full-time from May-October 2020. The pay rate for this position is $16.39 per hour, increasing to $17.92 after completion of 3 month probation and $20.48 after 6 months.

Responsibilities

·  Ensure smooth operation of the restaurant
·  Greet and seat guests
·  Provide concierge service to guests
·  Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
·  Other duties as assigned 
  Qualifications

·  A minimum of one (1) year recent experience (in the last five years) as a server or host in an “a la carte” dining setting in an upscale, high volume restaurant
·   "Serving It Right" and “Food Safe” Certification
·   Impeccable grooming and presentation
·   Completely fluent English language skills, both written and verbal
·   Clear, precise, professional and helpful telephone manner
·   Knowledge of organizing reservations and service flows
·   Driven and focused on maximizing capacities
·   Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
·   High level of responsibility and commitment
·   Team player with proven success in relationship building
·   Commitment to providing excellent service and exceeding guests' expectations
·   Comprehensive and current knowledge of local attractions, events, restaurants and transportation information
·   Ability to anticipate guest needs
·   Experience with OpenTable is considered an asset

Note: The position of Host is physically demanding.  The successful applicant must be physically capable of standing/walking for 90% of shift, performing repetitive work, as well as lifting and carrying heavy loads.
