Mini Bar Attendant

Our guests are always at home at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts – and their In Room Dining experience is no exception. Your organization and service skills as a Mini Bar Attendant will ensure our guests enjoy an appetizing in room selection of snack and beverage items.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Ensures courteous, prompt and knowledgeable service of food and beverage to ensure total satisfaction of guest experience.
·   Cooperates with and assists coworkers in achieving goals of outlet working closely with IRD Department.
·  Follows all appropriate policies and procedures of outlet while striving to improve standards of operation.
·  Upkeeps Private Bars clean and fully stocked at all times conducting daily cleaning.
·  All products placed in Private Bar kept up to date. All expired product needs to inventoried and placed in adequate location.
·  Adheres to all rules, policies and regulations as stated in the Grand del Mar Employee Handbook.
·  Always works as a team player.  Is capable of being cross-trained at the discretion of management.
·  Has ability to stock assigned area with equipment necessary to properly service outlet during operations.
·  Assist guests in a friendly, professional manner and is able to meet their needs.
·  Is capable of performing side work as assigned by supervisor.
·  Is willing and capable of following directions from Manager at all times and is fluent in reading and speaking English.
·  Is capable of working in a safe and clean manner and reports all unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor or takes personal responsibility if supervisor is not immediately available.
·  Other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
·  Previous service experience an asset
·  Previous Point of Sale System experience an asset
·  Excellent communication and organizational skills
·  Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
·  Highly responsible & reliable
·  Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
·  Ability to work cohesively with fellow Colleagues without constant supervision·                   
·  Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

 

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):          
·  Constant standing and walking throughout shift
·  Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
·  Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
·  Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
