Market Attendant

Hotel Overview:    

Known as the islands only all-suite oceanfront resort, the hotel is situated on Polo Beach in the world-class, master-planned destination of Wailea, on the south western coast of Maui. Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Makana Market Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:              
·  Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
·  Assist guests in an informative and helpful way
·  Dispense, prepare and serve menu items
·  Inventory, requisition, stock and maintain products
·  Ensure overall cleanliness and maintenance of our venue exceeds expectations 
·  Receive and process all cash and credit card transactions from guests in an efficient and accurate manner
·  Balance the point of sale system at end of shift
·  Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
·  Have full knowledge of all menu items and pricing
·  Follow all safety and sanitation policies 
·  Actively support all green initiatives 
·  Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
·  Previous guest service experience required
·  Previous point of sale system experience preferred
·  Must have good cash handling skills
·  Must be able to adhere to the State of Hawaii food handling safety standards 
·  Excellent communication and organizational skills
·  Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
·  Highly responsible & reliable
·  Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
·  Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
·  Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
 
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limted to): 
·  Constant standing and walking throughout shift
·  Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
·  Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
·  Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
