Hotel Overview: Known as the islands only all-suite oceanfront resort, the hotel is situated on Polo Beach in the world-class, master-planned destination of Wailea, on the south western coast of Maui. Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
· Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
· Greet guests while ensuring all service standards are followed
· Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
· Provide guests with information about hotel activities and events
· Direct bell/valet staff to escort guests to/from their suite or park/retrieve vehicles
· Maintain accurate custody of guest vehicle keys
· Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
· Follow all safety policies
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment
· Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
· Previous customer related experience an asset
· Previous PMS experience an asset
· Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
· Must possess a professional presentation
· Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
· Highly responsible & reliable
· Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
· Valid driver's license and clear driver's abstract
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to the following):
· Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
· Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
· Occasional bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling
· Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
