THE WORK....

Greenplum DBA will be responsible for the design, deployment, configuration, and operations for a large-scale Greenplum database system. This includes working with open source and/or commercial stacks to support the full SDLC. As the Greenplum DBA, you will work to deploy, manage, and maintain development, test and production environments for the big data platform.

You will also:

· Work with Technical Architect and developers to identify infrastructure needs and providing support to developers. Develop scripts to automate and streamline operations and configurations in the infrastructure.
· Provide direction to less experienced administrators.
· Research performance issues; Optimize platform for performance.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues in all operational environments. Analyze current functional and technical processes with an eye towards streamlining and efficiency.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Greenplum DBA will have:

·  2 years System Administration in Database environments including 1 year with Greenplum technologies
·  2 years of experience with administering NoSQL database technologies like Hive, Hbase, Impala or Presto
·  2 years of experience with scripting tools like Bash, Shell Scripting and Python for streamlining configurations
·  1 year experience working with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google)

Preferred:

·  Experienced in large scale enterprise deployments with 100+ nodes and 50+TB of data
·  Familiarity with enterprise security solutions
·  Experienced in Informatica/ETL design and development
·  Experienced in Data Mining and Predictive Analytics on large volumes of Data (Big Data/MPP) including best practices, code creation and prototyping using SAS, R, MadLib, JPMML

An active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
