Job Description :

Innovation

• Designs and manages research using data science techniques to define and re-shape thinking on the future of customer/business/technology issues

• Build data science and economic research assets that differentiate Accenture Research (apps, interactive visualizations, etc.) in the market

• Help develop the role of data science in both client- facing research and thought leadership, i.e., identify data science-based offerings to drive value for client teams and the practice

Business Impact

• Interact and collaborate with industry researchers to embed data science inputs into client and thought leadership research projects

• Help develop and write research proposals and market and sell the capability to clients internally; collaborate in raising awareness and understanding of data science research tools and outputs in Accenture and Accenture Research (NLP, deep learning, text analytics, sentiment analysis, data-wrangling, machine learning, web-scraping etc.)

• Assist in client-facing situations, for instance in proposals and live presentations where a core part of the research solution resides in economic research or data science

• Credibly present work and discuss issues with clients

People Skills

• Assist in growing data science economic research skills in the team, e.g., organizing learning activities, create x-pollination opportunities

• Coach and mentor other researchers in data science opportunities on active projects

Qualifications :

Technical and Personal Skills

“Hard” skills:

• Analyze, interpret and make sense of complex data on various formats (text, numeric, image, etc.) and provide solutions to data challenges

• Validate data flows and prepare ETL processes according to business requirements

• Incorporate business requirements into data science research design specifications.

• Develops data warehouse models and prepare reports for end users

• Solid knowledge of econometric techniques is expected

• Knowledge of data science analysis tools such as R, Python

• Experience in Google Cloud or AWS or Azure environments is preferred.

“Soft” skills:

• Curious, data fan with a strong research drive

• Solution oriented: Pragmatic approach to research problems

• Proven ability to work in teams and intercultural environments as well as flexibility to work with team mates in different time zones.

• Strong people developer/teacher/coach

• Entrepreneurial attitude. Creative and independent approach to research problems.

• Strong professional qualities: client focus, decisiveness, integrity and resilience to stress against stretch goals and deadlines.

• Strong, business-oriented communications skills (focus on actionable intelligence) and good interpersonal skills in one-to-one and team settings

Work Experience:

• Economist / Engineer / Computer Science graduate with 5+ years research experience in global / large corporation or institution (either private, public or international organization) OR research and/or teaching assistant at an academic institution

• Programming skills in R and/or Python

• Experience in statistical software like Stata and eViews

• Experience in Advanced Data Visualization
