Job description

     

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Manage material planning for their assigned materials in support of site operations; is the point of contact for internal and
external stakeholders regarding daily operational activity to ensure supply availability and schedule adherence, cost
optimization, contract execution and adherence, and delivery of initiatives supporting both top and bottom line financials

  • Ensure the on hand supply of materials and timely delivery of services that support continuous operations.
  • Create material supply plans and communicate to Divisional Supply Chain and procurement shared services
  • Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures.
  • Manages component supply and inventory levels for product line(s), plans material requirements and ensuring flow of
  • materials to the production floor.
  • Uses production supply plans to create and communicate a material supply plan that supports operations at assigned site/s.
  • Maintains direct material supply and plans appropriate inventory levels for continuous site operations.
  • Initiates and manages material expedites when required.
  • Responsible for assigned material intercompany transfer to support AV operations.
  • Manages material Change Requests and Change Orders as required.
  • May lead Project teams in support of material initiatives, process and procedure improvements.
  • Communicates with Management and Stakeholders, purchase order status, inventory position and stocking plans, as well as
    any inventory issue.
  • Mitigates material quality exceptions, as well as any other material exceptions, as required.
  • Identifies gaps to weekly demand planning and inform supplier of changes.
  • Collaborates with the category managers during the category planning stages for annual forecasted volumes.
  • Maintain performance on relevant key performance indicators and conduct root cause analysis where needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree
  • Advanced level of English
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain or related field or an equivalent combination of education and
    experience; experience could be from Procurement, Materials Management, Manufacturing, Planning, or combined
    experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of purchasing processes with advance knowledge of material supply chain.
