How? Become a SAP MES Analyst at Abbott Caguas, Puerto Rico.

As an SAP MES Analyst you will provide maintenance and support of SAP ECC and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) processes for site operations.  Site lead of all work related to interface and data transfer between the SAP and MES environments (such data includes inventory, production orders, confirmations, final goods receipt and more).  Design solutions that ensure the best leveraging of SAP functionality while also ensuring all MES continue to operate effectively.  Site liaison between SAP, MES teams and local operations. Work closely with all levels in the organizations, including project managers and especially operational leaders.  Collect business process requirements in order to determine MES/SAP application requirements.  Ensure that all work is within the parameters of the global template.  Incorporate SAP and Manufacturing Best Practices at all times. Ensure all transactions executed in both systems (SAP & MES) comply with the Good Accounting Practices.  Ensure that all solutions are tested fully and delivered with the utmost quality.  Ensure MES system fully complies with CN, SH and Abbott PRLLC Quality System requirements.  Ensures employees comply with Abbott/SH policies and practices.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

  • Lead the identification, planning and implementation of projects related to user requests, and MES report improvements.
  • Solve any issues related to: inventory (consumption, BOM, batch, etc.), work order settlements and releases (confirmations, final goods receipt), system performance issues and more.
  • Ensure timely MES IDocs resolution.  Lead and identify solutions for systemic SAP/MES problems; and train operators and material handlers on solution for transactional issues.  Coordinates with engineering department resolution of BOM issues. Train and develop Area Superusers to support all site operations in 1st & 2nd shift.
  • Prepare weekly work order aging reports.
  • Ensure compliance within work groups with internal and external regulatory requirements (FDA, TUV, etc.).  Ensure that all personnel comply with the established procedures of their respective areas. Responsible to elevate issues of quality immediately and be closely involved in the investigation and solution of quality issues.  Ensure compliance with all SJM procedures including all applicable regulatory requirements (European Council Directive 90/385/EEC (AIMD), EN ISO 13485:2007, Canadian Medical Devices Regulations, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 21 CFR Part 820, Quality System Regulation (QSR), EC Medical Device Directive (MDD-93/42/EEC), Brazil GMP of Medical Products (ANVISA), RDC # 59, MHLW Ministerial Ordinance No. 169, 2004, etc.  Ensure Implementation of PR LLC Environmental Management System consistently and measurably in the company.  Ensure compliance will all applicable state and federal environmental laws and regulations.  Ensure availability of Resources essential to establish, implement, maintain and continually improve PR LLC Environmental Management System.

To be successful in this role, you will require the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Science and Engineering.
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred Knowledge in GMP/ISO9002). 
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills. 
  • Broad knowledge of SAP and MES systems. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively across the organization with technical and non-technical professionals. 
  • Project management skills. 
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish/English. Must have good verbal and written communication in English and Spanish. 
  • Must have excellent computer literacy, attention to detail, and ability to take initiative. 
  • Excellent functional understanding of various business processes. 
  • Computer knowledge in programs as; (Excel, Word & Power Point).
