JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Manufacturing/Process Technician. Working under limited supervision, the Technician will troubleshoot process and equipment issues, coordinate and perform repairs, own or participate in projects, develop self-sustaining systems for production, address safety concerns, qualify equipment, updated manufacturing procedures and validation documentation.

Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:

Manufactures products in an FDA regulated environment. May operate basic equipment for reagent filling, packaging, and glassware preparation. 

Major Responsibilities:

Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

Operates a variety of basic production equipment in order to complete assigned work orders and meet scheduled production requirements.

Works as a member of the manufacturing team to fill reagent vials, and assemble kits and/or operate service center equipment. Inspects finished product to ensure basic quality criteria are met. 

Responsible for documenting work that is performed. Additional duties may be assigned as required.

           

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a high school education or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing operations experience. Keyboarding skills a must

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and comprehend written work order instructions. 
  • Experience in a GMP environment. 
  • Ability to multitask and deliver consistent results with above average accuracy. 
  • Three years experience at a CMO production operator II level or equivalent. 
  • Capable of operating complex processing equipment, including set up and troubleshooting experience with complex processing equipment. 
  • Forklift certification a plus.

a) Learning basic manufacturing operations and demonstrating the ability to work in an FDA regulated environment in a timely manner.

b) Executing assigned work activities accurately and completely. 

c) Documenting activities in an accurate, timely and complete manner.

d) Working safely and in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures.

e) Understanding job training requirements and ensuring that training is conducted on time.

f)  Identifying product defects when they exist.
