JOB DESCRIPTION:

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Financial Analyst to join the finance team supporting the Northern Cluster geographies (UK, Ireland, Nordics and Baltics) of our Vascular Division.

Based in Maidenhead and reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the financial planning and analysis in support of the Abbott Vascular business, including ownership of periodic forecasts, month-end procedures, and performance reporting for the commercial teams.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Analysing monthly financial results, including comparisons against budget forecasts; prepare reliable, timely, and accurate financial analytics.
  • Creating annual plans and budgets for product sales and operational cost centres, as well as periodic forecasts to report performance to management team. 
  • Providing financial analysis to support commercial and financial management decision-making.
  • Leading assigned business-related projects across the region.
  • Supporting month-end close, including revenue and cost areas of P&L.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor degree in Business, Accounting or Finance is preferred, but equivalent experience considered.
  • Qualified in Accountancy (ACCA/CIMA).
  • Progressive Finance and Accounting experience in Audit, Commercial, Cost and/or Reporting positions.
  • Candidates will ideally have experience in similar roles, supporting multiple stakeholders, although newly qualified candidates with limited experience should still apply.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, as well as an ability to effectively managed workload.
  • Highly motivated, with a desire to innovate.
  • Commercially strong, candidates should demonstrate critical thinking skills to identify and share business implications of financial results.
  • Superb communication skills are essential as this role interacts with multiple stakeholders, acting as a key contact for the sales, marketing and finance teams.
  • Strong PC/systems skills, including expertise in Excel and PowerPoint. SAP/Hyperion preferable.
  • Occasional travel to the other geographies is required.
