JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

We’re seeking an experienced, high caliber Financial Analyst to join our team in our Plymouth, MN location.   Primary responsibilities for this role include supporting our EP Capital & Technical Services organization.  You will assist in the development of the process for managing our Capital inventory.  You will also assist in the development of a system-generated Capital Services P&L.  In addition, you will support the Capital Services team by providing month-end reporting and analysis, as well as providing updates for each budget cycle, and any ad hoc analysis requested from leadership. You will have an intimate understanding of the activity and variances being produced and be able to speak knowledgeably when answering questions from leadership.  You will also be responsible for preparing financial presentation content for executive meetings, participate in various projects or tasks, assist with monthly financial closing activities, as well as preparing financial models, and presentations supporting the quarterly LBE (latest best estimate) forecasting cycles.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Budgeting and forecasting, profit and loss, market modeling, sales analysis, business development, gross margin, capital, exchange, headcount and other facets of the complete P&L.
• Participates in ad hoc analysis and reporting as required by finance management
• Provides routine reports to leadership
• Partners with key geographies to consolidate month-end analysis and commentary related to the financial close cycle
• Executes annual goals and objectives as defined by the Finance team
• Prepares consolidated reporting, presentations, and analysis
• Complies with regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments
• Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees and business customers
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
• 2+ years of experience performing financial and variance analysis, forecasting, planning, and financial modeling
• Advanced level of proficiency with Excel (ie VLOOKUP, Pivots, sum/if, etc)
• Working knowledge of other MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Demonstrated experience working with financial system applications
• Previous experience working in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment

• Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced level degree(s) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
• Medical device experience
• Previous experience working with Hyperion Essbase and/or SAP
