Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
ACCOUNTING/ TREASURY AND REPORTING:
- Assist Finance Director for monthly and annual closing and reporting
- Responsible for processing and accounting of invoices, payments and expense reports in accordance with affiliate / Abbott policies and procedures and local regulations
- Responsible for reviewing the expenses reports from Moroccan team
- Set up and manage the execution of all payments (through the electronic banking system) following up on required management approvals (backup responsibilities)
- Enter and reconcile bank statements with accounting information on a monthly basis
- Responsible for reviewing imprest fund requirements, countries monthly imprest funds closure, and monthly reimbursements.
- Prepare tax returns and statistics reports and submit as required for local authorities
- Assist the Country Manager / Business Unit Manager and the Region in preparing budgets and forecasts
SOCIAL ADMINISTRATION
- Responsible to provide all relevant employee or company documents to the local social authorities in a timely manner: medical expenses, medical certificates, maternity leaves, Social benefits (family allowance, …), new employee applications, “on-the-job” accident declarations, retirements, Social security cards, …
- Liaise with the employees for all Social benefits applications
- Orientation of new employees to ensure that all required company assets are provided to them and they obtain a basic understanding of relevant company policies and practices
- Manage the departure of existing employees to ensure all assets have been returned and all necessary documentation has been completed and approved
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:
- Ensure corporate policies and procedures are implemented and where necessary, proper deviations are obtained to be in line with market conditions
- Follow the ethics and compliance policies
