Job description

     

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary:

Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs. Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the engineer department. Oversees the coordination of communication services and engineering expansion.       

Accountability:

  • Support Plant EHS and quality initiatives and targets                                                                   
  • Directs the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group                                                             
  • Manages the hiring, staffing and maintaining of a diverse and effective workforce.                             
  • Responsible for developing budgets and long-range plans based on company growth and future automation and control areas maintenance needs.                                                                               

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operation and maintenance plant electrical distribution systems (MV Switchgear, LV distribution, Emergency Diesel Generators, Power Monitoring system, MCC & VSD, Lighting, UPS etc.)
  • Responsible for developing and implementing of energy management and monitoring program.
  • Responsible for developing the standard operating procedures for instrument calibration and implementing of maintenance programs for operational efficiencies and minimize cost.
  • Responsible for setting up the electrical work shop.
  • Manage vendor service contracts.
  • Preparing operation and maintenance budget.
  • Carry out other work or task as directed by Manager.
  • Troubleshooting/resolve and recommend Acts as advisor to unit or sub-units and becomes actively involved to meet schedules or resolve problems.
  • Provides guidance to team members according to established policies.
  • Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate team members.
  • Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Control & Instrumentation / Electrical / Chemical / IT Engineering or related discipline or Diploma with minimum 3 to 5 years experience
  • Strong understanding and experience of GMP & EHS requirements and external/internal audits
  • Good planning and supervisory, strong interpersonal and communication skills. High computer literary. Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
